QSH9_16ver2 === Québec Short Hops for FS9
Cap-Tourmente === CLL8

The second version is to adapt the scenery to Gilles Gauthier's mesh as specified below. Also, a few items were changed.

Should work fine in FS2002 as well. but not tested.

Cap-Tourmente, part of Québec Short Hops is just a few miles downstream from Boischatel, on the North Shore of the St.Lawrence River just past Île d'Orléans.

This scenery is a seaplane base with no runway. However,with the proper plane you could easily land on the beach. Just mind the swimmers.

==============================================

Québec Short Hop sceneries are aimed at making VFR flying in Québec most pleasant and attractive as I can make it. So far, for FS9, I have created a few sceneries along the St.Lawrence river and also in the Beauce region. These sites are close enough so you can hop from one to the other using the lighthouses and other aids I included.

I also have made other sceneries for the Beauce and the Montréal regions. Please refer to the attached maps for a complete list and locations.

You can upload any of the sceneries shown on the maps if you make a search at either AvSim of FlighSim.com and search for author Leon Louis.

I wish to thank Tom Fica for his nice row boat, logs and old fuel barrel. I also thank Robert Palmer for his trees and to Jordan Moore for his nice horse. Also thanks to Jim Jackson of Northern esposure for the Barbecue, picnic tables and nice canoe. I thank Nova Sim for the smoke effects. Also Einar Aarvik for the nice Landrover and Bedford truck.

I must not forget Tom Hiscox and Brian McWilliams for the program "Airport for Windows" and also Matthias Brückner for the program EOD which I used to make my macros. I thank also Martin Wright for the program DXT. I thank Raphaël Sanchez for the program NovaSim that I used to make the lighthouse beam.

I hope I did not forget anyone. If so, I am deeply sorry and please send me a note.

CAUTION: MY NEW POLICY CONCERNING THE USE OF MESH AND OTHER FILES

In all my sceneries now, I use the following files:

From Gilles Gauthier, you will need to install:

"qc09_2K4a.zip, qc09_2K4b.zip, qc09_2K4c.zip, qc09_2K4d.zip" and

"scenes_du_quebec_2k4.zip" This latter one includes all the others like "ilesstlaurentqc.zip" and more.

I also suggest you get file "skiqc.zip" by Guillaume Plamondon. It is most of the major ski centers in Québec (except the Laurentian region)

The above files are the ones I use and recommend to view my next sceneries. Some of my older sceneries, especially the installations off the perimeter of a default airfield, may show some items not set on the ground properly. I will issue revised versions soon, I hope. This release is one of those revisions.

I N S T A L L A T I O N

CAUTION BEFORE INSTALLING THIS NEW VERSION, YOU MUST REMOVE THE OLD ONE. Simply delete the
CLL8 .bgl file from your Québec Short Hops scenery folder.

During installation overwrite when prompted to do so.

1- Place the CONTENTS ONLY of the Addon Scenery folder into:
xxxxxxx/Flight Simulator 9/Addon Scenery/Scenery

2- Place the CONTENTS ONLY of the effects folder in the Effects folder of your Flight Simulator.

3- Place the folder "Cap Tourmente" as is, with its contents where you usually install your sceneries.
If you prefer, you may cut/paste the contents of the texture folder into your main Fs9/texture folder.

Activate the scenery in the library.

That is all.

Restart Flight Simulator and welcome to "La Belle Province"

Thank you and enjoy your visit

Léon Louis
